    The roles and responsibilities of Gram Tarang apart from acting as an interface of Bank and the TSP are as follows:-
      · To manage the entire infrastructure provided for execution of the Financial Inclusion project including the Laptops, handheld devices, enrollment system, digital fingerprint scanners, digital cameras etc. Gram Tarang will be the custodian for the infrastructure provided for operations and responsible for any damage not within the normal wear and tear of the hardware.

      · To operate entire infrastructure including the enrollment systems, handheld devices as per the training given by the TSP and by the Bank for providing services to its customers.

      · To deploy well defined operational procedures and should ensure protection of TSP and the Bank from operational risk / transaction risk (human error, negligence and mismanagement) and fraud risk (loss to earnings or capital due to intentional deception by employees, customers, Business Correspondent Agents (BCAs), external entities, etc).

      · To take due care to deploy sufficient manpower so as not to cause disruptions to services to the customers by deploying back up manpower.

      · To provide access to its systems to TSP internal audit team, Bank’s internal audit teams and third-party external auditors including from Reserve Bank of India, for conducting periodical audit of the records, data, documents, transactions and other necessary information, related to this Project, within a reasonable period of time.

      · To maintain a robust and customizable MIS to meet the requirements of TSP and the Bank.

      · To extend all of the outsourced banking and financial services by deploying such personnel those have high integrity and meet the qualifications and other criteria stipulated by the Reserve Bank of India, Government or the Bank from time to time. The nature of services will be informed to Gram Tarang by TSP from time to time as per instructions received from the Bank.

      · To serve as the “Pass through Agents” for offering specified technical / banking and non-banking products on behalf of the Bank or any other organization approved by the Bank and function as per the directions and under the control and guidance of the Bank. Gram Tarang shall report to the Bank in so far as financial / banking / non-banking products are concerned.
